I'll show you what it takes to shape the skyline. We'll walk in the shoes of architecture students and make a study of design. We'll explore jobsites at the next generation of Chicago highrises to learn what it takes to build a skyscraper. Along the way we'll trace building history back to the first skyscraper. I help everyone to complete a drawing project rich with architectural detail.

We'll start with a visit to an architecture studio at SAIC and a construction site. Fundamental in understanding the work of architects. These first visits give us perspective as we follow a path from the early skyscrapers built before 1900 to the modern marvels recently opened.
