Beautiful Victorian home with tons of original hand-carved woodwork and plenty of character. First floor is the common area with foyer, living, dining, kitchen and bath. Covered porch off the kitchen leads to the backyard. Bedrooms are on 2nd and 3rd floors along with 3 baths. For the introverts, the walls are thick and the WiFi is quick. Feel free to relax in your bedroom or the reading nook. For the extroverts, there are a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 baths shared between myself and fellow travelers, so feel free to mingle on the common floor at your leisure.
The Central West End has a variety of shops, restaurants, galleries, comedy, music, nightclubs and 24-hour cafes/coffee shops for your entertainment needs. We have a few bookstores and even the World Chess Hall of Fame. My place is a 5-minute bike ride or Uber to Forest Park (Zoo, golfing, tennis, art/history museums), BJC, SLU, and only 1 mile to I-64, 2 miles to I-44.

Within 1 mile: The Grand Center, Chafeitz Arena, The Contemporary Art Museum, the Fabulous Fox Theatre, & Moolah Theatre. We are across the street from Saint Louis University & Harris Stowe State University (less than 1 mile).
Super clean & cozy second story loft located in the heart of the city but tucked away from the bustle & noise of the downtown city streets & hassle of finding parking! (Private parking lot attached!) We are located in the commercial district of Midtown Alley. Our building has the "commerical" appearance, & our loft/apt. is on the second story (accessed by exterior stairwell only). We are the only residential unit in this building. History of our neighborhood: Our street & building was once part of the Automotive Row of St. Louis with lots of old showrooms from the turn of the century. It was St. Louis’s prime spot to purchase cars between 1911, and 1955. In 2005, the neighborhood was added to the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. National Park Service. While none of the original automobile businesses remain, the buildings–many of which were designed by the famed architect Preston Bradshaw–still stand as a reminder of what first made this neighborhood so special in the city of St. Louis. Book our place if you want to be close to privately-owned restaurants, muesums, universities, lofts, great pocket neighborhoods, the Garment District, St. Louis Arch, baseball games, historic buildings, & fun attractions. Respectfully, don't book our place if you can't embrace the diversity that city life brings. If you feel safer in a suburban setting where everyone looks like you, lives like you, & eats at chain restaurants, there are many other options out there that will make you feel comfortable :)
Minutes/blocks from downtown St. Louis, The St. Louis Arch, as well as plenty of eating establishments with lots of variety. Within 10 minutes or less are: the hipster scene on Cherokee Street, Busch Stadium, Central West End, The Science Center, Washington Avenue, The Cathedral Basilica, IKEA, Barnes Jewish Hospital, The Grove, & Forest Park. The Fabulous Fox Theatre & Powell Symphony Hall are both 3 minutes/ .07miles. The Missouri Botanical Garden (10min. 3.3mi). Restaurants nearby: - World famous Pappy's BBQ, is within walking distance, as well as the iconic Fountain On Locust. Small Batch, located on Locust St., is also within walking distance (vegetarian restaurant w/ great gourmet options). - If your into Sushi & Asian food, Sapporo 2 is also a hop away (.2 miles). Unique studio sleeps two in St. Louis' historic Central West End. Walk to supermarkets, restaurants, Grand Center, IKEA and much more. St. Louis University is across the street. We welcome same-day bookings if you contact us before 2 PM. Thank you! Long Description The Targee is a fully furnished studio apartment on the third floor of a high-rise apartment building across the street from St. Louis University. You'll enjoy fast Internet, all linens, and a fully stocked kitchen. We start your stay with light breakfast foods, welcome beverages and a selection of teas. Sleep well on the top-quality Queen-sized bed. Free permit parking is available, first-come, first-served. But you don't need your car here! This is a transit- and bike-friendly location. The Targee is four miles directly west of the Gateway Arch and 3.5 miles west of America's Center. A 24-hour supermarket is two blocks away. Numerous restaurants and bars, coffee houses, and all the amenities of a great urban center are within walking distance. The apartment has WIFI, and an antenna for local stations on the flat screen television. You are welcome to log into any streaming services to which you subscribe, through the Roku Box. The Targee includes all the basics. There's a large gas range, frost-free fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cookware and utensils. Yes, there's a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Two-night minimum on weekends. We use dynamic pricing to ensure competitive rates. Sorry, while we all love them, we do not allow pets at the Targee. The Targee is on the third floor of a seven-story building. You may access the apartment by stairs or elevator. Guest Access: The apartment is all yours! There is a shared laundry room in the basement, and shared hallways with other guests and residents. Parking: Parking is first-come, first-served with a permit that you'll receive upon arrival. Please note that demand is greater than supply. If permit parking is already full, you may park at any nearby metered space at no charge between the hours of 7 PM and 8 AM Monday through Saturday, and all day on Sunday. Other Things to Note: The Targee has window-unit air conditioning. We pull the air conditioner out of the window by the middle of November to clean it and store it for the winter. We reinstall the air conditioner in April. If you feel like you need an air conditioner outside of this schedule, please discuss with us. We will do our best to accommodate. In the winter months, the heat is controlled by a central boiler that runs steam through the radiators. The boiler is scheduled to run 3 to 6 times a day, depending on the weather forecast. The Targee also features a high quality space heater if you get too chilly between runs. The Targee is next to the building's elevator. You may hear noise while it is in use. If you are a late or light sleeper, we have earplugs in the apartment. You may hear noise from the neighboring apartments, as the historic charm of the building does not include soundproof walls. We've had some guests complain about odors in the hallway, from residents who cook, smoke marijuana and/or cigarettes. We no longer rent to smokers, and want the building to be smoke-free! We have had this policy for eight years. However, when we instituted the policy, we did not force our residents who smoke to move. (Many residents who have lived in the building for decades.) FAQ: “How far is it to the Fox?” The Targee is about 0.6 miles from the Fox. You should be able to walk there in 10-15 minutes. We’ve had lots of actors from the Fox stay with us! "How far is it to the America's Convention Center?" This apartment is about 3 miles from the Center. It should be drivable in about 15 minutes, or you may take public transit. “Is it safe?” Several of our staff members live in the building and have never had any problems. Owner Karen has lived just three blocks away for more than 30 years and absolutely loves her neighborhood! Anywhere you stay, whether in the city or county, you should be aware of your surroundings. Anywhere you park, you should never leave any valuables clearly visible. Our one bedroom apartment with one queen bed, couch & air mattress has everything you need to enjoy your stay in St. Louis! The controlled access building displays vaulted, concrete ceilings and walls, floor-to-ceiling windows to allow for lots of natural light, and open ducts throughout the apartment. The spacious, open floorplan was made with the artist in mind, with walls only around the bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is stocked with cookware to cook simple meals, stainless steel appliances, and a Keurig coffee maker to enjoy coffee. There's a smart TV with Roku and Netflix (there is no cable) & free WiFi! A washer and dryer is available inside the apartment for your convenience. Metered street parking is available nearby, as well as an open surface parking lot.

Located in the Central West End. One block east of the old Gas Light Square District the neighborhood is very quiet and centrally located. Close to most attractions. Arrangements to rent the entire condo can be made in advance.

The apartment can sleep up to four, with an excellent queen-sized bed and a sleeper sofa bed that is truly worth sleeping on. We use dynamic pricing to ensure competitive rates. Rates are based on whether one or both of the apartment's beds are in use. Our pricing defaults to two guests sharing the queen bed. Add $15/night per person when top-quality sleeper sofa is desired. If you will have two in your party, but would like to use the queen sleeper sofa, please make your reservation for three. Welcome to the Central West End (CWE)! Our house is a roomy house with lots of big windows. You are welcome to lounge in our living room or share our workspace if you plan to stay in the house. If you plan to go out, the CWE is one of the best neighborhoods around for eating, drinking, and shopping. We're also very close to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and St. Louis University. PoC and LGBT friendly.
Our house has a lot of space and big windows (feel free to open them) almost everywhere. Some have called the style modern. Inside, we have some paintings and some personal belongings that make "home" home. I list two bedrooms on Airbnb and live in the third.
The Central West End is a great neighborhood for walking and entertainment. There are some great tree-lined streets for taking a long walk and some great streets lined with shops, restaurants, and bars from fast and affordable to very high-end.

Nearby all the great restaurants and shops of the Central West End, you'll love my newly renovated condo, complete with a pool! It's really a perfect place for anyone looking for a chic and sophisticated urban setting that is centrally located in St. Louis' most coveted neighborhood, the Central West End (CWE). Perfect for business professionals or leisure travellers as is it's minutes from downtown or Clayton business district, just blocks from Barnes Hospital and the Cortex business complex.
I very recently renovated the apartment so everything is basically brand new. Approximately 650 square feet with high end finishes such as granite counters, stainless steel appliances, porcelain tile...much much more. Tasteful and sophsiticated decor that is mix of modern and classic. All conveniences of a stocked kitchen and a brand new washer/dryer in unit are also included, but I'm open to suggestions if you think of anything I've missed! By the way, the pool in the back is open all summer (usually from May depending on the weather).
The apartment is in the heart of Central West End just blocks from tons of great bars, restaurants, cafes and tons of other entertainment. Feel free to ask for suggestions while you're in town and don't be afraid to be adventurous - it's hard to go wrong around here.

The Eliot is a unique studio apartment that sleeps two. Walk to Grand Center, St. Louis University, and all the amenities of a great urban center. We welcome same-day bookings if you contact us before 2 PM. Thank you! Long Description The Eliot is a fully furnished studio apartment, across from St. Louis University. Move in with a suitcase! The rental price includes all linens, pots, pans, dishes, a full kitchen, ironing board, iron, and much more. Two-night minimum on weekends. We use dynamic pricing to ensure competitive rates. The Eliot is on the fourth floor of a seven story building. It is accessible by stairs or elevator. The apartment has dedicated internet with WIFI, and an antenna for local stations on the flat screen television. You are welcome to log into any streaming services to which you subscribe, through the Roku Box. Sorry, while we all love them, we do not allow pets at the Eliot. The location is across the street from St. Louis University and "20 minutes to anywhere," as the saying goes in St. Louis. Public transit (with direct connection to Metrolink, the region's light rail line) and Uber are easily accessible. Within walking distance is a 24-hour supermarket, theaters & entertainment, numerous restaurants, and coffee houses. This is an ideal location for discovering the best of St. Louis! Guest Access: The apartment is all yours! There is a shared laundry room in the basement, and shared hallways with other guests and residents. Parking: Parking is first-come, first-served with a permit that you'll receive upon arrival. Please note that demand is greater than supply. If permit parking is already full, you may park at any nearby metered space at no charge between the hours of 7 PM and 8 AM Monday through Saturday, and all day on Sunday. Other Things to Note: The Eliot has window-unit air conditioning. We pull the air conditioner out of the window by the middle of November to clean it and store it for the winter. We reinstall the air conditioner in April. If you feel like you need an air conditioner outside of this schedule, please discuss with us. We will do our best to accommodate. In the winter months, the heat is controlled by a central boiler that runs steam through the radiators. The boiler is scheduled to run 3 to 6 times a day, depending on the weather forecast. The Eliot also features a high quality space heater if you get too chilly between runs. The Eliot overlooks a busy arterial road. If you are a late or light sleeper, we have earplugs in the apartment. You may hear noise from the neighboring apartments, as the historic charm of the building does not include soundproof walls. We've had some guests complain about odors in the hallway, from residents who cook, smoke marijuana and/or cigarettes. We no longer rent to smokers, and want the building to be smoke-free! We have had this policy for eight years. However, when we instituted the policy, we did not force our residents who smoke to move. (Many residents who have lived in the building for decades.) FAQ: “How far is it to the Fox?” The Eliot is about 0.6 miles from the Fox. You should be able to walk there in 10-15 minutes. We’ve had lots of actors from the Fox stay with us! "How far is it to the America's Convention Center?" This apartment is about 3 miles from the Center. It should be drivable in about 15 minutes, or you may take public transit. “Is it safe?” Several of our staff members live in the building and have never had any problems. Owner Karen has lived just three blocks away for more than 30 years and absolutely loves her neighborhood! Anywhere you stay, whether in the city or county, you should be aware of your surroundings. Experienced travelers rejoice! Take in the historic charm of my spacious 6BR/4BA Central West End manor. 24-hour keyless entry to both the house and your own bedroom. Guests have full access to the kitchen, 4 shared bathrooms, dining/living rooms, reading nook and covered porch. Free WiFi included. Home is on a quiet street with plenty of free parking. The Central West End: Historic homes, bustling nightlife, only 5 minutes to BJC and SLU campuses, 7 min to downtown.
Beautiful Victorian home with tons of original hand-carved woodwork and plenty of character. First floor is the common area with foyer, living, dining, kitchen and bath. Covered porch off the kitchen leads to the backyard. Bedrooms are on 2nd and 3rd floors along with 3 baths. For the introverts, the walls are thick and the WiFi is quick. Feel free to relax in your bedroom or the reading nook. For the extroverts, there are a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 baths shared between myself and fellow travelers, so feel free to mingle on the common floor at your leisure.
The Central West End has a variety of shops, restaurants, galleries, comedy, music, nightclubs and 24-hour cafes/coffee shops for your entertainment needs. We have a few bookstores and even the World Chess Hall of Fame. My place is a 5-minute bike ride or Uber to Forest Park (Zoo, golfing, tennis, art/history museums), BJC, SLU, and only 1 mile to I-64, 2 miles to I-44.

Quaint studio sleeps two in St. Louis' historic Central West End. Walk to Grand Center, restaurants, supermarkets, IKEA and much more. St. Louis University is across the street. We welcome same-day bookings if you contact us before 2 PM. Thank you! Long Description The Chopin is a fully furnished studio apartment on the third floor of a high-rise apartment building across the street from St. Louis University. You'll enjoy fast Internet, all linens, and a fully stocked kitchen. We start your stay with light breakfast foods, welcome beverages and a selection of teas. Sleep well on the top-quality Queen-sized bed. Free permit parking is available, first-come, first-served. But you don't need your car here! This is a transit- and bike-friendly location. Numerous restaurants and bars, coffee houses, and all the amenities of a great urban center are within walking distance. The Chopin includes all the basics. WIFI is available, and a smart tv with local stations, and integrated streaming channels. You are welcome to log into any services to which you subscribe. There's a large gas range, frost-free fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cookware and utensils. Yes, there's a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. We use dynamic pricing to ensure competitive rates. Two-night minimum on weekends. Sorry, while we all love them, we do not allow pets at the Chopin. Guest Access: The apartment is all yours! There is a shared laundry room in the basement, and shared lobby and hallways with other guests and residents. Located on the third floor of a seven-story building; you may access the apartment by stairs or elevator. Parking: Parking is first-come, first-served with a permit that you'll receive upon arrival. Please note that demand is greater than supply. If permit parking is already full, you may park at any nearby metered space at no charge between the hours of 7 PM and 8 AM Monday through Saturday, and all day on Sunday. Other Things to Note: The Chopin has window-unit air conditioning. We pull the air conditioner out of the window by the middle of November to clean it and store it for the winter. We reinstall the air conditioner in April. If you feel like you need an air conditioner outside of this schedule, please discuss with us. We will do our best to accommodate. In the winter months, the heat is controlled by a central boiler that runs steam through the radiators. The boiler is scheduled to run 3 to 6 times a day, depending on the weather forecast. You may hear noise from the neighboring apartments, as the historic charm of the building does not include soundproof walls. We've had some guests complain about odors in the hallway, from residents who cook, smoke marijuana and/or cigarettes. We no longer rent to smokers, and want the building to be smoke-free! We have had this policy for eight years. However, when we instituted the policy, we did not force our residents who smoke to move. (Many residents who have lived in the building for decades.) FAQ: “Is it safe?” Several of our staff members live in the building and have never had any problems. Owner Karen has lived just three blocks away for more than 30 years and absolutely loves her neighborhood! Anywhere you stay, whether in the city or county, you should be aware of your surroundings.
