Our home is a brand new modern construction house. It is spacious and with a very light interior color. It has big windows to allow natural lights in. The interior décor is minimalistic. We enjoy meeting new people and learning about new places that we want to visit one day. We are an immigrant family and we welcome everyone regardless of background to our home. My wife works in healthcare and I work in the financial services. We hope to provide all our guests a comfortable and affordable stay.
About the Hosts
My wife Ghe and I (Gui) live in our 4-bedroom home with our 4 year old son, who is growing fast. Expect to see some kids’ stuff here and there. The hosts occupy 2 of the 4 bedrooms in the second floor. The guests will occupy the other two. We enjoy meeting new people and learning about new places that we want to visit one day. We welcome you to our home and we try our best to offer you a pleasant and comfortable stay. Ghe works in healthcare services and I work in the financial services. She is in the business of helping the elderly live with dignity. I am in the business of helping people of all ages get financial protection, accumulate wealth, retire rich and save on tax. I work at home, at our MGA’s office or where my clients prefer to meet.

Rules and Regulations:
Every Airbnb host has a list of rules and regulations. It is the guests’ responsibility to read the rules and regulation of the hosts before booking. By booking with the hosts, the guests agree to abide the rules and regulations of the hosts.
Our home is fairly new. We to this home in November of 2014. Just like most of the houses in North America, it is a “drywall and stud” construction home. The builders don't provide soundproofing. So just be aware that you may hear from the family you will be sharing the house with and vice versa. It is a four-bedroom house and all the bedrooms are in the second floor. The hosts live in the house. We are sharing the other bedroom with our Airbnb guests. This room is marked with number “2”.
It is an average size bedroom (10 X 11 ft). The room has a twin bed, a built-in closet, a chest and a desk. It is ideal for one guest but could accommodate two if needed. The second guest, if any, will be on a twin double-high airbed. Since this room is on the second floor, the guests will need to take the stairs. The guests will be the one responsible to carry their own luggage to their rooms. The guests’ jackets will be kept in their room.
The home is kid friendly. The hosts have a 4 year old son. Guest’s kids may use (borrow only) some toys in the house. But, please do add your kids to the number of guests upon booking.
The hosts are trying their best to offer the guests a comfortable stay for a very good and reasonable price. It is for this reason that we expect our guests to help keep their rooms and the rest of the home clean. Let’s do “Claygo” or Clean as you go! The price per room is based on one guest per room. Additional guests will be charged $15 CAD each. Airbeds would be provided for additional guests. Other additional fees will be discussed with the guests.
The Main Entrance Door:
The main entrance door is equipped with Schlage’s smart keypad lock. It uses a code instead of a key. The door code will be sent to the guests prior to their arrival. Please communicate with airbnb or check the email(s) from airbnb for the door codes. The hosts would change the codes regularly for safety reasons. The changes will be communicated promptly to the affected guests or will be posted in the airbnb app. Upon arriving at the house, the guests need to enter the codes gently (Press on the word “Schlage” on top of the keypad and enter the “4-digit code”). The guest should hear the lock opening. Hold and press the lower lever to open the door). If for some reasons the door is not opening, you may message the host for assistance. The smart keypad lock is equipped with alarm. After 3 failed attempts to open it, the alarm will automatically go off.
It is our intention to provide all guests warm hospitality and comfortable stay. In view of this, we are asking our guests to observe a “quiet time” to give everyone a chance for a good night sleep. Quiet time needs to be observed from 11pm to 6am. For guests who have kids with them, we would greatly appreciate it if they are settled before or during this time as the hosts would like to ensure a restful night for everyone. So, we hope you are not in the house to party. If a complaint is made by a guest against another guests, the hosts will talk with the concerned guest(s). If the issue continues the concerned guests may be escorted outside of the house or depending on the gravity of the complaint, the case may be referred to the proper authorities. The hosts value respect and camaraderie with and among the guests. The hosts do not tolerate any rude attitude, racism, hateful comments, bad behavior and violence. Any issues related to these will result either with the guests being escorted outside the house or the guests being referred to proper authorities. The guests in this situation will still have to pay the full amount of the booked days.
Our house is located in the community of Saddlestone, a new neighborhood in the Northeast (NE) quadrant of Calgary. On the one hand, it is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. On the other hand, it is “vibrant, inclusive, rich in tradition and full of life” (a quote from the builder’s website). The house is close to the airport and amenities. PLEASE look it up on the map and only choose to stay with us if you are OK with this location.
