Our beautiful home was built in 1904. The rooms are light filled and spacious. It boasts original wood floors, built in buffet, and traditional dining room and butler's pantry.
Our place is set up with our guests in mind. When you stay with us, we want you to make yourself at home. Feel free to make a meal in the kitchen stocked with all the essentials such as pots and pans. Brew a pot of coffee with the coffee we keep on hand just for guests. Or feel free to relax in our cozy living room and watch TV using our Apple TV or digital antenna.
We are within less than a mile and within walking distance to downtown, US Bank Stadium, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children's Hospital, HCMC, and the Convention Center. We are just a couple miles from the center of the University of Minnesota, Uptown, Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, and Lake Nokomis. We love good food, so we can also point you in the direction of local eating hot spots. We love our neighborhood. So much so, that we bought another home right across the street where we are raising our three daughters. We appreciate its diversity and vibrancy and how centrally located it is to the entire metro!! Because we are in the heart of the city, we get to experience people from broad cultural and economic backgrounds in a densely populated area. Our neighborhood, Ventura Village, is a part of the most diverse neighborhood in the entire country with over 100 languages spoken here! There are restaurants, healthcare buildings, old Victorian homes, apartment buildings, and non-profit organizations. We consider it a privilege to live here, but it being in the heart of the city is not for everyone. During your stay, you may encounter lingering people panhandling. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, we may not be the place for you. Obviously, you will want to exercise "street smarts" as you would in any major metropolitan area. If you are looking for a quieter stay in the Twin Cities, you may prefer looking outside of our neighborhood. But we hope you won't. :)

Come relax in this calm retreat with garden level views. close to downtown. Directly access your room via common hallway just right inside the door. Attached private full bath/shower with solid wood cabinets and granite countertops. Room has mini fridge with separate freezer and microwave, coffee and coffee pot, and two sets of dishes. Laundry room has Iron and Ironing board available.
This room was recently remodeled with extensive sound proofing, to help muffle conversations. The home was built in 1888 by a pioneering grain merchant family Albert and Laura Harrington.
Centrally located on the edge of downtown. Less than 12 blocks to US Bank stadium, Minneapolis convention center, HCMC hospital , Children hospital, Phillips eye institute. A few miles east of Uptown.

This is a comfy studio that's technologically enabled and has been remodeled through and through, Amenities include: heated bathroom floors, in unit split aircon/heat, espresso maker, popcorn maker, and modern appliances. With gig-speed internet, it's a pleasure to watch Netflix, or Amazon Prime in 4k on the 55 inch screen, with the surround sound speakers, while in bed, or relaxing on the couch. Situated in Elliot Park, you're right near all the action of downtown Minneapolis.
The unit has a super comfortable 14 inch, layered memory foam bed. Provided are necessities such as coffee, (Nespresso machine, and traditional percolating pot style), tea, (and or if available) juice, milk, bread, and misc seasonings, condiments, etc. The unit is mostly Alexa enabled, (instructions given upon check in). Laundry, and the gym is accessible with key fob, (located in basement).
On the boarder of Elliot Park, and Downtown West, the area has been steadily gentrified over the past couple years. Just a couple blocks down is an amazing brewery called Finnegan's, as well as a couple incredible restaurants. There's a Trader Joe's just 4 blocks away, and a Target that’s about 1/2 mile away, as well.

This third-floor studio apartment with a woodsy feel and loft has all the privacy you need for a Twin Cities get-away weekend. As it is only four blocks from the Blue Line Metro, it has all of the downtown/airport accessibility for business and easy transfers to the Green Line Metro that runs to St. Paul and the University of Minnesota. The studio has a bathroom and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, microwave (no stove). The studio space has two queen beds in different nooks.
Our space has two queen beds, a full bath, and a common space with a couch, sitting area and wood-burning stove, table and chairs, and a kitchenette. For breakfast, the Pow-Wow Cafe is right around the corner and the fabulous Maria's Cafe is right down the street. The space also has a fridge, sink, microwave, Keurig, hot pot, and panini maker (note: there is no stove/oven). In the summer, our home has AC units in the windows and a ceiling fan overhead. In the winter, the unit has forced air and a wood-burning stove. We are glad to provide a heating blanket to those who would like one. We have free parking on the street, but no reserved parking spots on the property. For the comfort of our guests, the queen mattresses have a 100% hypoallergenic, waterproof mattress protector covers.
There is plenty to do in the Minneapolis metro area, and our place is just .75 miles from downtown, including the Viking's Stadium, Gold Medal Park, and the Guthrie Theatre. We are 1.2 miles from the Minneapolis Convention Center and favorites such as Global Market and the Midtown Greenway. Lake Calhoun, Lake of the Isles, Lake Harriet, and Minnehaha Falls are just five miles away to the southwest and southeast of us. If you are coming to the cities for a gastronomic adventure, Hell's Kitchen, Matt's Bar (for the Juicy Lucy burger) or Fogo de Chao for a fancy dinner are just a short drive away. A note about our urban, ethnic neighborhood: we do live in the city center which means that our neighborhood is busy and very varied: our home is near bus lines, public spaces like parks, coffee shops, non-profit offices, other large old Victorian homes, government buildings, apartment complexes, health clinics, and the many different types of people traveling through the neighborhood on a daily basis. Urban city life is densely populated, so you will want to exercise city-smarts and common sense when traveling out late at night from our place. If that makes you uncomfortable, you might prefer to stay in one of the quieter neighborhoods outside the city center like Nokomis or Eden Prairie, White Bear, St. Louis Park, Plymouth, or Longfellow. We, however, love the energy of the city of Minneapolis. One of our favorite pluses of living in Minneapolis's city center in the Ventura Village neighborhood is the fact that we enjoy a huge diversity of neighbors from all parts of the world and with it the customs, the dress, the food, and vivacity that they all bring to Minneapolis.

Includes 1200 sq ft of refined living with 10ft ceilings and original Victorian woodwork. If you are looking for a low rise, low density alternative to a high rise hotel, this place is for you. This is a second floor apartment so there is one flight of steps to navigate.
Amenities Include: Ikea Kitchen with two sinks, gas range, refrigerator w ice-maker, glass front cabinets for those that like to entertain. Formal Dining Room complete with built-in buffet from which to serve those gourmet meals. Long hallway offers a great gallery of local artists. Generally located along Ninth and 10th streets between the intersections of Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue During the mid-1880s, the young City of Minneapolis was booming. The flour milling industry had hit full stride, bringing thousands of hopeful newcomers to town in search of new jobs and new homes. A rapid influx of new residents between 1880 and 1890 created a severe shortage of housing. As architects and builders scrambled to meet the demands, a new type of building – the row house – was introduced to the Minneapolis streetscape. The first residents to settle in the South Ninth Street District were affluent professionals drawn to the area by its proximity to the downtown business district. Many of these wealthy businessmen, such as Samuel Morse, vice president of the Minneapolis Flour and Manufacturing Company, enjoyed living in row houses designed for wealthy inhabitants adjacent to the 10th Street and Park Avenue mansion. The most outstanding feature of the South Ninth Street District is its uniformity of type, scale, material, age and design. Between 1886 and 1915, local architects including William Channing Whitney and Frederick Clark designed townhouses, row houses and flats based on Classical, Renaissance and Romanesque models. Monica and I have lived, loved and owned here since 2002. We manage 17 units next door on this row of what was townhouses for the elite when Minneapolis was booming with flour and timber mills. We raised our two children here and have never had an issue with safety or break-ins although always remember that you are downtown and should be aware and vigilant at all times. My wife and daughter have taken the dogs for walk alone at night and always felt safe.

Welcome to our beautiful apartment, just minutes away from US Bank Stadium, 5 blocks from the Minneapolis Convention Center, near all the city has to offer. Just 5-10 minutes from Uptown, Seward, and Northeast neighborhoods, & close access to Interstate 35 & 94. You’ll find cozy blankets, hardwood floors, books, music, and a colorful mix of treasures from our travels. Basic breakfast items & coffee provided for guests! Thank you for considering our home. We are on the main level of a historic quadraplex with great neighbors on all sides! Everyone is very kind and respectful. The home features many glimpses of the era in which it was built, including built-in cabinets, hard wood floors, and original woodwork throughout. There is a back porch that is a nice place to sit outside away from the hustle & bustle of the street. We love to travel, so our space is decorated with objects and art we find along the way. Many furnishings are vintage from thrift stores, estate sales and the like. One bed is softer, the other is a very firm memory foam mattress. Options - for those groups with unique sleeping preferences! A dresser is provided in one room, bookshelves and bedside tables in the other. A computer is provided with a guest account, as well as a wireless printer you are welcome to use. Netflix & Hulu are also provided under our guest PlayStation account. Safety features include two sets of locked doors in the front of the building, and private keypad door entry in the rear entrance. **As of 2019 we now have security motion lights in the driveway, as well as a camera shared between us & our neighbor building that has a view of the driveway**
We love being part of a vibrant & diverse neighborhood with such rich history! Blocks away from historic downtown Minneapolis and the new US Bank Stadium. We're just a short drive/cab/bus ride away from popular Minneapolis spots such as the Seward Neighborhood, Uptown, North East Arts District, Dinkytown/U of M campus, and more! We're also conveniently located near two light rail stops that provide easy public access to both downtown St Paul as well as Mall of America and MSP International Airport.

Once you walk into our downtown historic brownstone, you will fell warm and comfortable settling into you home away from home. The living room boasts of a large ornate window ensemble only the way artisans could build in the late 1800's. The furniture and wall hangings reflect the talent of our own artist, Design by Mike, who brings continuity and repose throughout.

Our full two Bedroom, two bathroom home is perfect for two couples, two singles or a small family who are venturing into downtown Minneapolis for a Vikings game or other US Stadium event as well as the many amazing venues within blocks away like Orchestra Hall, The Minneapolis Convention Center or the Guthrie Theater. This is also perfect for the business trip where you prefer a central location and want to enjoy a space to work and rest in between meetings.
The 9th St Historic District is located in East Town (Elliot Park) which is central Minneapolis that includes the US Bank Stadium. The South Ninth Street Historic District exhibits one of the city’s best and most cohesive collections of multiple-family dwellings from the turn of the century. Generally located along Ninth and 10th streets between the intersections of Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue, the district also extends south to include properties along East 14th and East 16th streets. Southeast of the central business district, the South Ninth Street area served as an important zone of transition between the downtown commercial core and outlying lower density residential districts. The area remains unique for being the only neighborhood in Minneapolis with a linkage of serial housing, featuring prominent local architects.During the mid-1880s, the young City of Minneapolis was booming. The flour milling industry had hit full stride, bringing thousands of hopeful newcomers to town in search of new jobs and new homes. A rapid influx of new residents between 1880 and 1890 created a severe shortage of housing. As architects and builders scrambled to meet the demands, a new type of building – the row house – was introduced to the Minneapolis streetscape. The first residents to settle in the South Ninth Street District were affluent professionals drawn to the area by its proximity to the downtown business district. Many of these wealthy businessmen, such as Samuel Morse, vice president of the Minneapolis Flour and Manufacturing Company, enjoyed living in row houses designed for wealthy inhabitants adjacent to the 10th Street and Park Avenue mansions. The district also appealed to members of the middle class, such as clerks and bookkeepers who worked for the railroads and milling companies headquartered downtown. Residing in more modest flats, these people enjoyed low rent prices offered by developers and easy access to the workplace provided by the new streetcar lines. The most outstanding feature of the South Ninth Street District is its uniformity of type, scale, material, age and design. Between 1886 and 1915, local architects including William Channing Whitney and Frederick Clark designed townhouses, row houses and flats based on Classical, Renaissance and Romanesque models. The red brick buildings feature an assortment of diverse details rendered in red stone and terra cotta. The Park Avenue fourplex (912-914 Park Ave. S.) and the Lee Residence (623-625 Ninth St. S.) represent examples designed by William Channing Whitney, while the Mayhew (614-626 Ninth St. S.) and the Linne Flats (728-740 E. 16th St.) represent examples designed by Frederick Clark. Although the South Ninth Street neighborhood has changed over the years, it still illustrates the coming of age of Minneapolis. Its location anticipated the development of a large city by indicating a separation between commercial and residential zones. The appearance of the row house as an alternative to single-family residences marked the evolution of the urban city from its village roots. Within the South Ninth Street Historic District, the "City of Lakes" made its transition from frontier town to urban center.

Our beautiful home was built in 1904. The rooms are light filled and spacious. It boasts original wood floors, built in buffet, and traditional dining room and butler's pantry.
Our place is set up with our guests in mind. When you stay with us, we want you to make yourself at home. Feel free to make a meal in the kitchen stocked with all the essentials such as pots and pans. Brew a pot of coffee with the coffee we keep on hand just for guests. Or feel free to relax in our cozy living room and watch TV using our Apple TV or digital antenna.
We are within less than a mile and within walking distance to downtown, US Bank Stadium, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children's Hospital, HCMC, and the Convention Center. We are just a couple miles from the center of the University of Minnesota, Uptown, Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, and Lake Nokomis. We love good food, so we can also point you in the direction of local eating hot spots. We love our neighborhood. So much so, that we bought another home right across the street where we are raising our three daughters. We appreciate its diversity and vibrancy and how centrally located it is to the entire metro!! Because we are in the heart of the city, we get to experience people from broad cultural and economic backgrounds in a densely populated area. Our neighborhood, Ventura Village, is a part of the most diverse neighborhood in the entire country with over 100 languages spoken here! There are restaurants, healthcare buildings, old Victorian homes, apartment buildings, and non-profit organizations. We consider it a privilege to live here, but it being in the heart of the city is not for everyone. During your stay, you may encounter lingering people panhandling. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, we may not be the place for you. Obviously, you will want to exercise "street smarts" as you would in any major metropolitan area. If you are looking for a quieter stay in the Twin Cities, you may prefer looking outside of our neighborhood. But we hope you won't. :)
