This half day tour is a combination of a moderate 2-hour hike (a few inclines for five minutes) to the Twin Falls close up and a visit to the famous Snoqualmie Falls. I will pick you up in downtown Seattle and drive eastward for about 30 minutes until we arrive at the trailhead. We will hike in old growth forest along Snoqualmie River to Twin Falls and the Upper Falls (1.3 miles), which is a beautiful cascade of waterfalls. After the hike we will drive through North Bend, where the diner from the popular tv show "Twin Peaks" is located and through the historic logging town. Snoqualmie. The locomotives of the time are still on the railroad tracks and the old depot from the year 1890 is in use till this day. We stop to view the Snoqualmie Falls of 270 feet - followed by driving along Borst Lake, where Mount Si is reflected in the often still lake - and then drive back to downtown Seattle.

You'll sip, I'll brew and you'll learn about what makes different teas unique and how tea is grown and processed. We'll talk about the legends and lore surrounding this mysterious magical beverage. We'll sample and compare floral notes, mineral elements, and vegetal savory scents. We'll drink and compare black teas, explore Oolongs, savor subtle green teas, and dive into the wide world of therapeutic herbal Tisanes. We'll try on crazy hats and have a fabulous time. Come develop your palate and learn more about Teas & Tisanes. This experience is for tea lovers and novices alike and we'll guarantee you find something to fall in love with by the end. The short trip includes ecological as well as cultural interpretation of the natural areas visited. It is a truly unique experience to be immersed in the cascade mountains.

You'll learn history of Seattle, each donut location, how they fit into the larger food scene, as well as try some amazing donuts. We start at Top Pot Doughnut's Flagship store on 5th. We'll try some of their classics as well as some new flavors depending on seasonality. From here, we'll walk through Belltown highlighting things along the way like the monorail and the Space Needle before arriving at Tempesta where we'll try some of their weekly rotating flavors. From there, we're off to Dahlia Bakery to enjoy some hot and fresh beignets. On to our last stop, we make sure to hit the landmark no visit to Seattle is complete without - Pike Place Market. There is a sense of magic in setting your sails, allowing the wind to carry you across water. I will gently encourage everyone to take a turn steering the boat, to feel the uniting force of wind and water. After all these years, I still find it enchanting. We will leave the dock at Shilshole Bay Marina, motor out past the city’s famed Golden Gardens Park, watch for sea lions loafing on the Meadow Point buoy, and then set sail, heading West across Puget Sound toward the magnificent Olympic Mountains. Along the way we will watch for orcas, schools of Dahl’s porpoises, sea lions, harbor seals, jumping salmon, bald eagles, great blue herons, cormorants, diving gulls, and other wildlife. On the Sunset Cruise we will keep a careful watch as the sun sets behind the Olympic Mountains, for the resulting lightshow is something you will want to capture on camera. As the sun drops behind the well-named Mount Olympus and other peaks in the range, it often illuminates the feathery horizon clouds into glorious colors. This is an ever-changing and high-concept cocktail and/or mocktail workshop (aka. laboratory) for those with 0 to 100 levels of experience. Unconventional, not a class; learn through experimentation! You get to take risks in this lab with hundreds of ingredients at your fingertips that you wouldn't normally take at home or in a cocktail class. Tools include smoking guns, test tubes, shaker sets, etc. This experience has no dress code. As soon as you enter, you'll be handed a lab coat -- perfect as a pre-funk to your night out on the town. Also, feel free to just lounge around [with your drink in hand] in one of the wing-backed faux-leather chairs and enjoy the ambiance of being perched in a high-end market, above many award-winning businesses. The tour to the area near the highest volcano (14,410 feet) in the Cascade Mountain range, Mt. Rainier, will begin with picking you up in downtown Seattle and driving to Mt. Rainier area. We will be hiking for about a mile and picnic while enjoying the marvelous views of Mt. Rainier and its glaciers. We will walk in old growth forest among thousand year old big trees and see beautiful waterfalls, lakes, and rivers.
