Let's meet up for an epic night of kayaking. It's 4 incredible trips in one. 1st you paddle the length of downtown during the day and then we catch the sunset over the water. The bats are the main event and we end with downtown paddle at night! Add in a full moon or bright stars occasionally and this trip is one not to miss! If trip is sold out, ask if I can fit you in. Message us if you want to book a kids experience. We will start the experience in the backyard where you will meet Ripley the house pig. You'll learn about the history of Kunekune pigs and what makes them so unique. If we have younger pigs that are living in the backyard you'll get to meet them then too. I'll have treats prepared for you to feed the pigs and you'll learn how to make them sit and get their treats. Then I'll take you to meet the adult pigs first the girls and then the boys. We have 20 pigs that make up "Halbert Herd" and their ages range from 4 months to 9 years. You'll get to feed the adults treats and they love getting attention and being petted. Most of them will lay down and want their belly rubbed. If we have piglets you'll get to spend time in the piglet pen, depending on their age, you may be able to feed them treats and when they get to be about 3 weeks old they will crawl on your lap. Other things to note Make sure to wear closed toes shoes, pigs like to chew on toes. Rain, hiking, mud boots are great options. You will get dirty and we will be outside. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. Long pants work better even when its hot because we may walk in tall grass in the pastures.

BYOB, so bring along your favorite beers and seltzers (NO GLASS CONTAINERS, please!), and leave the rest up to us. We'll have a small cooler for everyone to share. At the Candle Bar, you will have the opportunity to learn a new skill and create 2 unique one-of-a-kind candles. Come pull up a chair and we'll serve you a drink of your choice (red or white wine, or a local beer). Take in the beautiful aesthetics of the store and make something special for someone special...or simply just yourself. Here you can take a piece of Houston back home with you. We'll start off by teaching you the process behind making your own personal candle and the science behind building a fragrance. Then we'll walk you through building your own fragrance. Once we've completed that, we will guide you through making and pouring your own candle. While the candle is drying, feel free to shop at Forth & Nomad, or relax on our beautiful, wooden patio under our historic oak trees. Please allow up to 3 hours for your candles to dry before taking them home. You can also pick up your candles at another time. We can host up to 8 people per class. Each ticket buys 1 person one seat. We cannot split candles between two people. After a short briefing of safety rules and procedures, we will leave the dock for a relaxing and/or exciting day of sailing and fun on Lake Travis. You are welcome to actively participate in the sailing experience, or you may simply relax and enjoy the beauty that is sailing on Lake Travis. At your direction, we can set the sails and head to the hot spots for a swim, visit a local restaurant on the water, dine/snack on board while out on the water, or take some photos of the beautiful Lake Travis scenery and sunsets. In warmer weather, night sailing provides a memorable view of stars, meteor showers, and sometimes the milky way. When you have heard enough of my stories, I'll safely return you to the dock for your reentry to civilization. Other things to note: Sailboats are designed to lean over in wind, this is to be expected. Please contact me if you will have children with you, we need to confirm the sizes and numbers of childrens/youth life preservers. I'm flexible on the departure and return times, if you prefer something earlier, later, shorter, or longer please let me know and we can make it happen. At Southern Trails you will enjoy a genuine Texas experience! There's no better way to explore the Hill Country than on horseback. Misti and I will take you on a scenic, guided horseback ride, show you the reins, and ensure you have a fun experience. First, we will pair you with one of our highly trained and lovable horses! (Whiskey, Bear, Mississippi, Comanche, or Dolly!). Next, we will have a brief lesson where you will learn to stop, turn and ride the proper way on the trails. Then we will head out and take an hour trail ride through the beautiful hill country. We will ride through trees, up hills, down hills. We will pass some creeks and ponds and even a graveyard dating back to the 1700’s! The graveyard is said to hold the relatives of Davy Crockett as well as some other heroes from Texas history! We will stop to take a couple pictures along the way! If you have younger children please call and ask about "Little Dude Ride." It is perfect for kids and families that aren’t quite ready for the hour trail ride. We want everyone to be able to have an awesome horseback riding experience. Go on a walking, cocktail tasting, tour of downtown Austin! We'll stop and talk about several hidden-face speakeasy style bars - some stashed inside parking garages, behind bookshelves, down alley ways, pass-code and password protected, and private clubs! We'll get you into three where we can order drinks! Meet downtown and we'll sit and chat for a few minutes at introducing ourselves and what it means to call a bar a speakeasy in Austin, TX. Then, we walk to the first bar. All the bars are located downtown within a few blocks of each other. We'll spend 30-45 minutes in each of three bars, having drinks, learning about the place, and appreciating the aesthetic. Throughout the night we will continue on past a total of seven hidden-face speakeasy style bars, stopping in some and just stopping to talk about others. The night ends once you get into the third and final bar and get your drinks ordered. We do not to include drinks to give you a lower price and more choice. We will have a group tab which can be paid for via cash, Apple Pay and Cash App. Prices vary by venue but $15-25 per drink (including a 20% tip) is a good ballpark.

Our family fell in love with goats in early 2020 during the Covid lockdown. Raising baby goats has now become a lifestyle for us. Yes, we always have baby goats! This experience allows you to be hands on with the youngest babies and learn about them. You can also meet the mommies and the bucks. When you arrive, we will take a couple of minutes to introduce ourselves and our animals. We will then jump right in to it and introduce you to our cute baby goats. You can pet, hold, or cuddle them as you wish and feed them treats. While you play, we will tell you a bit about each one of them, and their personalities (yes, each goat has a different personality, and likes and dislikes). We will let you spend some time with our goats and be available to answer questions or share knowledge. Be ready to meet some tiny goats! Our goats are all very friendly and clean.
