The 2 hour long walk is a medium to help people understand how trees communicate, feel, think and grow. Hopefully, by the end of the experience people will go back with a different perspective on the natural ecosystem. Hi, I’m Saksham, I work as a Designer during the weekdays and spend my evenings/weekends trying to understand our roots in the natural world and the urban boundaries we have drawn. The walk will start from the West Gate at Lal Bagh, and cover the giant buttressed silk cotton trees, the sacred figs of the subcontinent, the ever thirsty Gum trees, the ornamental Latin American avenue trees of Bangalore and how, at large, the ecosystem moves. We will attempt to understand the form, color and structure of trees as we walk along and breathe some silence here and there. I look forward to a refreshing morning with you and hopefully we will learn something from each other.

Authentic Mysore, India City Tour
This is a one of a kind opportunity to experience Mysore from the eyes of a local. I will pick you up from the meeting point in my tuk tuk. Along the way, you'll get to see beautiful historic buildings and monuments. Our first stop will be one of the oldest markets in Mysore. Here you will get to walk the alleyways of an authentic Indian market filled with exotic spices, flowers, fruits and vegetables. Plenty of colorful photo opportunities along the way! From there we will drive to the wood carving district where generations of craftsman chisel and saw intricate patterns from natural woods. A true art you rarely see in these modern times. Our next stop is a true hidden gem. You will get to see a woman who makes hand rolled incense and averages 6,000 sticks per day! Inside is a essential oils sample room where you can test a variety of fragrances, many native to India. Mysore is famous for its production of high quality sandalwood oil so this is your chance to find it in its purest form. The last stop will be a shop that specializes in rare, hand woven silk tapestries from the Kashmir region. Here you will find rugs, linen, home textiles, and fine brass items such as Tibetan singing bowls. Lastly, I will drop you back off at the meeting location. I am happy to answer any questions you have along the way. I love sharing my city with visitors!
Indian tea culture & Shisha/hookah
Indian tea also known as "chai" is integral part of Indian culture. It's brewed and enjoyed in different forms across the country. So I'd like to invite you on this wonderful experience, where you'd get a slice of Indian tea culture as we are going to talk about tea stories and history of tea in India over a cup of tea. If you are shisha (hookah) lover, I can made that for you as I am so much passionate about it! So basically we can pair tea & shisha. Also, I'd love to teach you how to prepare tea and shisha if you are interested.
