Your blacksmithing adventure will include three hours of hands on instruction as you create your very own masterpiece. Your experience will start with a brief orientation to The Forge at Quiver Full Farm. During this orientation time we will make sure each participant is dressed and prepared with all necessary equipment to have a SAFE forging experience. We will be working with equipment that reach temperatures greater than 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. This experience requires participants to be attentive and be able to physically exert themselves. We will have all participants sign a safety liability waiver before starting. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate. Jeremy will introduce you to all of the equipment that you will be using while creating your forged piece. He will give detailed and guided instruction on how to use these tools. From there you will choose one of several projects to create. Jeremy will be there to guide you, assist you, and maintain a safe working environment while you create your masterpiece. Other things to note This experience is for adults and children over the age of 14. If you have sensitivities to smoke and heat this may not be the experience for you.

To many, the Hasidic world is shrouded in mystery and secrecy—well, not anymore. On this experience you get to see first hand the daily lives, rituals and customs of the Hasidic community, guided by a member of the community. Being able to access places seemingly closed off and hidden to the outsider. An opportunity to be able to ask any and all questions about the Jewish faith, culture and philosophy. We kick off the experience inside a Hasidic home, and learning about what it takes to keep a Kosher home. Then its off to the streets of Crown Heights, starting with exploring the world famous “770” Synagogue, getting a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of daily prayer services. Next stop is a Jewish scribe, seeing up close the intricate details involved in producing the Torah Scrolls. Followed by a walk down the avenue, visiting the local shops, and seeing the traditions dating back to the early 1800’s. The experience continues rain, snow or shine (just come prepared).

Enjoy the true outdoors with an easy 3/4 - 1 mile private nature hike hosted by a pack of loose, well trained German Shepherd Dogs. The hike starts at our farm in coastal Maine and wanders through a network of trails winding through a natural wild Maine forest. You will be hiking with a large pack of (5 to 12) loose german shepherd dogs of various ages who will want attention along the way! On the walk there are soft forest trails, sometimes mud puddles and slippery footing. Throughout our adventure you will learn tips on hiking with a pack of German Shepherds the way they communicate and what their body language means. Once we return there will be bathroom facilities, snacks and beverages. We will also talk about how we raise and imprint our young shepherds and prepare them as family companions. Your hosts for the nature walk will be either Jennifer, Katie, or both! We began offering pack walks at our open house for our German Shepherd Breeding program, and because of the enthusiasm and popularity, we decided to host this event through Airbnb. This hike is a carefully selected pack of our own German Shepherds. We do not allow visiting dogs to join on the pack hike. Children under two years old are FREE

In this beginner Silversmithing class, you will pick out your own stone and create the setting and shank. We'll get familiar with the torch, jeweler's saw, flex shaft drill, anvil & bench pin. We'll solder the bezel, cut out the setting and file it flat. Then we create your ring shank according to your own size and add them together. We'll finish your ring by setting the stone and polishing the piece. All finished work is sterling silver and you get to go home with a brand new ring. Patience is required. No experience necessary. *Other things to note* Please dress for the occasion! We'll be sawing metal and using messy materials. Don't wear anything dangly and please have closed toe shoes on. This activity is hands on and messy! Also to note: long fingernails could make this a little harder, but doable! *there are good dogs on site.* **PLEASE NOTE: I don't have the space for more than two people at a time for this experience, this is my home studio and it's pretty small. I’m going to teach you all the knowledge that my family (especially my grandmother) passed down to me since I was very little. We are going to start off with touching and knowing the right ingredients (imported from Italy), and then get ready to get your hands really dirty! We are going to prepare two kinds of pasta: tortelli filled with fresh local ricotta and spinach, and tagliatelle. While mixing with your hands, we cheers with unlimited wine to good food and good company! While we are waiting for the pasta dough to rest we will enjoy a real Italian aperitivo with a charcuterie board. Salute! This experience can be vegetarian friendly. This class can’t be suitable for Gluten Free or Vegan. To finish off the evening we are going to dine with your just made fresh pasta. After our introduction you will be given a brief history on the founding of Sankofa Farms. Once completed you will be fitted for a beekeeping suit and introduced to all of the equipment you will need to start you own hive! Once the review is complete we will travel to our apiary on site and you will be given a hands on experience in our hives. This session will comprise of how to inspect a beehive, how to properly use beekeeping equipment , and how to spot your queen Bee! Other things to note Once you arrive to our location you will travel down a gravel road. These popular vessels are the black, inflatable boats you find on expedition ships around the world. They're also the boats we operate as photographers and guides in Antarctica and the Canadian sub-arctic. So what will we see? It is common to see numerous seals, osprey, great blue herons, various sea birds, mink, and deer as we Explore the South Shore. We’ll also talk about flora and geology as we cruise the area. It truly is one of the prettiest parts of Nova Scotia! There are two things we cannot control; wildlife and weather. That said, we keep a close eye on marine weather forecasts and if we have any safety concerns, we will reach out asap. We operate rain or shine so please be prepared to get at least a little wet. Welcome to our Alpaca Farm! Upon arrival, you will be met by some of our Alpacas. Though they may be some distance away grazing in their rolling mountain pasture or relaxing in one of the barns, they will certainly acknowledge your presence with a curious stare. We start your experience with a short walk to a nearby pasture to observe and learn about the alpacas and our farms story. Standing by the fence, we will introduce you to the alpacas, discuss farm safety and answer any questions. Usually the alpacas are interested in what we are talking about and will generally come up to join in the conversation. As your experience winds down we invite you to the “Farm Store” for all things alpaca. In the store, we explain how their fiber is converted from raw fiber to luxurious clothing. At the conclusion of your experience we invite you to bring a picnic and dine along the banks of Cove Creek while you take in the beautiful mountain vistas.

Welcome to Wolfville! Available year-round, let's gather at 7:45am at Waterfront Park, situated on the highest tides in the world. From there we'll walk around the downtown core. Within our hour and a half together, we'll have stopped at the Acadia Cinema, three parks, and the Old Burial Grounds. Wolfville is the perfect starting place for adventure in and the Annapolis Valley and Southern Nova Scotia, and I reckon you'll end up having a greater appreciation of Where It's At! We'll focus on Wolfville's: history, landscape, businesses & buildings, cultural & culinary resources, opportunities, Acadia University, and more. Chances are, we'll bump into a few friends along the way. Unless it's absolutely horrendous weather, we ought to be able to walk & talk no matter the conditions. If needed, we can find always find a cafe to spend our time. Feel free to bring a list of questions about the area and make sure to inquire in advance about the various minivan & wine tours that I also offer. Let me take you kayaking on the world's biggest tides, on the Bay of Fundy. We will paddle in the spectacularly scenic and remote Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Geopark, where North America once separated from Africa, and the evidence is still visible in the cliffs today: Lava flows, fossils, colourful rock formations steeped in indigenous storytelling, and arches to paddle through. A highlight of the tour are the Three Sisters rock spires, which we will kayak through while I take photographic memories to take home. We will stop at a remote beach that used to be one of the busiest shipyards along the Fundy shore during the age of sail. Today, it is a heaven of serenity, where we might find remnants of the past in an old horseshoe or parts of the historic wharf once the tide recedes. Here, we might see a bald eagle fly over, hear kingfishers chatter and see curious seals poke their heads out of the Bay. We settle down on driftwood for a home-made meal fresh from my organic garden. Upon paddling back, the tide will be well into the ebb, so areas where we previously paddled through are now sitting high and dry - an incredible sight. The paddling time both ways is about 1.5 hrs, with an hour for the picnic. I will provide all the gear needed, food, photos and instructions on how to paddle and steer the kayaks, and am a certified kayaking guide.

Established in 2014, me and my team have proudly been the first to operate Speakeasy experiences in NYC. We will take you to 3 completely concealed and hidden establishments. All 3 locations are completely hidden, no obvious bars in between. Some through vault doors with a required code and some that are down an alleys with multiple doors where you would need to know which door to open. Some even have all the drinks still in tea cups in case the police would raid them back in 1920's and was featured in the TV show Boardwalk Empire for its historical accurate decor and atmosphere. We provide historical facts by history teachers with educational and tour guide licenses. Our facts are solely from cross referenced academic sources. We furthermore work in conjunction NYC City Hall and the NYC Hall of Records to ensure the authenticity of the historical claims by each establishment we visit. Between myself and my team (including tour guides June, Melissa, Helena, Alison, Bailey and Laura) we have over 35 years of goat experience. Guests will get a walking tour the goat farm, home to 60 goats. We will begin the tour by giving loads of information about goat care and dairy farming. Guests will have the option to play and interact with goats. You’ll definitely want to wear shoes that can stand getting dirty for this part. We will finish the tour with an elaborate tasting of the 9 fresh cheese varieties we make weekly on the farm.

A photo walking tour of Lunenburg focusing the historic buildings in the community and of the Lunenburg waterfront. Walking tour is weather dependent and may be cancelled if there is rain. Fog and mist add to the atmosphere of the tour. The host will offer tips on how to improve their photography, some basic instruction and visit key locations and select vantage points . We will go beyond the normal tourist imagery and photograph at times that are best for the photography , avoiding intense mid day suns. The walk will begin on the Lunenburg waterfront and meander along the historic walking waterfront. From their we will head to the various and unique heritage buildings in the town. Guess are encouraged to ask questions and may email in advance or ask questions post experience. Available to ALL ages and experiences levels! *260lbs weight limit Prior to your arrival, Nicole will message you and determine what level of experience you have with riding horses. Once you arrive on our property, Nicole and/or Jeff will greet you and already have your horses ready and matched to your level of experience. You will then be led to our riding ring where you will have the opportunity to learn about general horse care and safety. In the riding ring, you will have the opportunity to mount your horse and learn how to steer and control your horse and become comfortable before embarking on the trail ride. Once you are comfortable, you will be guided on a private tour of our 52 acre estate where you will go through woods, open fields, across ridge lines and enjoy being on a horse with breathtaking mountain views. On the ride we will also snap a few complimentary pictures for you to share with friends and family or add to your social media. At the end of your ride, we will help you dismount and you will have the opportunity to love on your horse and snap a few extra last minute selfies.

From spies to secret passageways put your super sleuth skills to the test as you search for over 80 secret doors and explore our themed rooms. We would never give you a map - this would ruin the surprise of finding a secret door but you will have a Q & A with one of our docents before you start your journey. It’s not in the finding, it’s in the seeking that is important. Experience the magic! Your self-guided experience will begin with an in-depth video introduction to our history and our secret doors, as well as what to look for as you go. Then, we will send you off on your own to search for the secrets and treasures that are everywhere to be found. As you explore the mansion, which is steeped in history and intrigue, you'll be walking in the footsteps of presidents, freedom fighters, G-Men, historians, famous musicians, and fiction writers. Built 125 years ago, nearly every President since Teddy Roosevelt has visited. Things to note We guarantee you can see at least 60 of our legendary rooms — but be warned secret doors are tricky to find —if you find 2 or 3 you are an above average sleuth All ages can attend. If you have a short attention span, this is the place for you because there is so much to see and do. If you are a minimalist, you will be overwhelmed. Museum closes: Sunday - Tuesday at 6pm and Wednesday - Saturday at 9pm.
